Tropical storm watches remain in effect to the west and east of those warnings, extending from Louisiana through the western Florida Panhandle.

Rainfall: Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible, with up to 6 inches in the most intense thunderstorms, stretching from the western Florida Panhandle to southern portions of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and potentially the Texas coast. These totals could trigger localized flash flooding, particularly in urban centers such as New Orleans.
Wind: Sustained winds of 39 miles per hour or higher are expected in the tropical storm warning area covering the Alabama, Mississippi, and eastern Louisiana coasts from late Tuesday into Wednesday. Stronger gusts within thunderstorms may cause isolated power outages.
Storm Surge: Water levels could increase 2 to 4 feet above normal from the mouth of the Mississippi River in southeast Louisiana to the Alabama-Florida border, particularly during Wednesday and Thursday morning high tides.
