Murder charge over Primrose Hill stabbing

Murder Allegation Following Primrose Hill Stabbing Incident

A 27-year-old man faces murder charges after fatally stabbing Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old film student, in Primrose Hill. Sullivan was found with knife wounds near the area’s viewing point on Tuesday.

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Enfield, was arrested on Friday and charged with murder on Sunday, as reported by the Metropolitan Police. He is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

A 25-year-old man, initially detained for suspected involvement in the attack, has been released without additional charges. The investigation remains active, with no conclusion yet.

On the same day as Sullivan’s death, officers found another man in his 20s with stab injuries near Regent’s Park Road. His condition is described as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.

His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, shared with BBC London that he had lost his only son, affectionately called Fin by friends and family. ‘All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,’ he said.
